Esta es una extensión para Gnome Shell que añade iconos al escritorio. Se trata de un fork de la original, Desktop Icons,
pero añade, entre otras cosas:
- Drag'n'Drop entre ventanas de nautilus y otras aplicaciones, y el escritorio
- no congela el sistema de ventanas cuando hay demasiada actividad en la carpeta del escritorio
- permite utilizar "Abrir con..." sobre varios iconos a la vez
- cuando un nombre de fichero es demasiado largo, lo muestra entero al pasar el cursor por encima del icono
